The impossible inaugural post

Blogging from the bottom of the world is slow-going. Mainly becuase I'm composing this post on my phone. Ugh. 

Technical difficulties? Check. 

The blogger app for iPad and iPhone is terrible. Formatting options (hyperlinks, text, photos, whatever) are completely lacking. 

Blogger's mobile website is terrible. Photo uploading options are limited to Google+, photos that have been previously uploaded, or from the phone (which is great when I want to write/upload from the iPad), and there is a weird problem with the scroll bar that is annoying. 

Only now did it occur to me to find a cheap-ish laptop from eBay for excursion writing purposes. Sigh. 

Organizational challenges? Check. 

I have notes all over the place (notebooks, journals, guidebooks) and photos all over the place (iPhone, iPad, camera) and thoughts all over the place (how do you say (that word I've been saying/hearing/trying to remember all day long) in Spanish again? I have to tell the taxi driver to go somewhere...what is that place called again? What day is it? Did I remember to book that bus ticket for tomorrow? Did he say we could take the keys with us or not?) that make it hard to think about what I want to remember and/or write about blog-wise. 

Something to write about? No es problema. 

It's worth sorting out the technical problems and organizing the thoughts. Because: Chile.
